چکیده
Abstract Thanks to their low fertilization requirements and high consumer demand, ancient wheats old durum wheat cultivars represent an attractive option for the marginal areas of Mediterranean environments no longer cultivated due grain yields attainable using modern cultivars. Dual-purpose utilization may increase value in these cropping systems, but information is available on suitability species this type utilization. To fill gap, Khorasan, einkorn, emmer wheats, clipped at terminal spikelet stage or left unclipped, were compared a two-year field trial. The grains sown month October, Sardinia (41°N, 80 m asl), Italy, low-fertility soils with low-medium rates. Einkorn produced highest biomass yield (2–3 t ha −1 ), reflecting time onset (119–138 days). After clipping, all recovered ability intercept radiation levels unclipped crops, clipping lowered use-efficiency. Grain was not penalized by clipping: harvest index compensated decrease biomass. Here we show first that are suitable dual-purpose (herbage plus same season) rendering them valuable areas; because early sowing adopted allowed take full advantage lateness terms herbage yield, bring flowering forward (i.e. make it earlier) so satisfactory obtained, even under severe water stress. increases sustainability mixed making animals critical period, without decreasing after grazing season.

Effect of Salinity Stress on Grain Yield and Grain Quality in Wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) Lines
The effects of salinity stress on grain quality traits of wheat were investigated using 180 lines of F5 generation in two environments (normal and salinity stress). A randomized complete block designs with three replications was used in each of the environments at the Research Farm of the Agricultural and Natural Resources Research Station of Isfahan in 2019-2020 cropping season. Grain yield, p...

Pre-harvest prediction of winter wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) grain yield and/or protein could assist farmers in generating yield maps and reliable product marketing. This study was conducted to determine the relationship between spectral measurements (taken from Feekes growth stage 8 to physiological maturity) and grain yield and grain protein. Spectral measurements were taken using photodiode...

Cryptographic algorithms are increasingly used in personal transaction through Internet network, smart card and telecommunication applications. Those algorithms are well known for their high complexity data computing. This paper focuses on Montgomery algorithm, which computes modular multiplication efficiently. This operation is the most time consuming part of public-key cryptosystems. A compar...

متن کاملProtein and lysine content, grain yield, and other technological traits in durum wheat under Mediterranean conditions.
A major problem for durum wheat production in the Mediterranean region is yield fluctuation. This fluctuation is a result of year-to-year variation in precipitation and heat stress during grain growth, which is typical of the Mediterranean climate. Both yield stability and good quality are needed in adapted durum wheat ideotypes. Ten durum wheat cultivars differing in drought resistance were gr...
